About
Doraemon Comic Traveler is a roguelike role-playing game with choice-based narrative branching, based on the doraemon manga series by Fujiko F. Fujio and the doraemon's Long Tales feature-length film series. The story is original to the game: doraemon, nobita, shizuka, gian, and suneo are transported to a fictional location called "comic planet", where they meet the "comic aliens" — native inhabitants who take on the appearances of characters from the source film series. Stages alternate branching text-adventure narrative with auto-resolved round-based combat, with roguelike variation between runs.
Storyline
The story is original to the game and follows the established doraemon cast — doraemon, nobita, shizuka, gian, and suneo — as they are transported to "comic planet", a fictional world where manga culture is deeply rooted. There they meet the "comic aliens", a species of native inhabitants capable of taking on the appearances and combat abilities of characters drawn from the Doraemon's Long Tales feature-length film series. named comic aliens include robble and chammy, who transform into characters from noby the spaceblazer, and lyril and zanta-claus, who transform into characters from "Noby vs. the Mecha Army". Each stage is structured as a branching text adventure in which the player makes choices that determine which scenes unfold, which enemies appear, and which items are obtained. Combat is round-based with automatic resolution: the player composes a party of doraemon, his friends, and accompanying comic aliens in advance, sets skill priorities, and watches the turns execute. Skills fall into attack, defense, and support categories and may be combined with collected equipment and doraemon's secret gadgets to form personalized builds. Stages can be replayed indefinitely with roguelike variation. Skill rolls, item drops, and branching event outcomes differ between runs, so the same stage can be approached with different builds on subsequent attempts. Skills and equipment obtained during a run are retained in a persistent collection that can be drawn from in future runs, while certain items reset each run as part of the roguelike loop.
